Join us for a family weekend camp at the Oregon 4-H Center in Salem. Made for ages 9-99, participants will go for shorter excursions around the camp property with the wagons, try out new gear, connect with members past and present, and go through all of the how and whys to ensure a safe and enjoyable trek.

The dates are set, the energy is building, and we hope you will join us after a brief hiatus in 2020 and 2021. We will be back in the Deshutes National Forest again this year, the exact location is yet to be determined, but plans are being made and we are looking forward to another great year on the trail. Check back with the website regularly as we will be updating as more information becomes available.

This year we will return to the 4-H Conference and Education Center, located between Salem and Amity, address is 5390 4-H Road, Salem Oregon, 97304. This is the weekend where we try out our gear, reconnect with members past and present, welcome new members and go through all of the how and whys to ensure a safe and enjoyable trek. Again, the dates are set as Saturday June 11th and Sunday June 12th. Check in with this website as we will be updating information as the event draws nearer.

Second of Two Meet and Register Events

This will be another opportunity to meet, reconnect, ask questions, get updates and register or make payments. This will be a drop in session held between the hours of 10:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. The location will be the Washington Street Conference Center located at 102 S.W Washington Street, Hillsboro, Or. The Conference Center is located on the ground floor of the Washington County Parking structure, free parking is available in the structure. Also, the Hatfield Govenment Max light rail station is just across the street from the Confernce Center. Hope to see you there,

First of Two Meet and Register events

We will meet at the Yamhill County Fairgrouds, Saturday April 30th, between the hours of 10:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M., you are invited to drop in during these hours. The Fairgrounds is located at 2070 N.E. Lafayettee Ave. Mcminnville, or. 97128, we will have wagon train signage in place to direct you once you arrive at the Fairgrounds. This is one of two opportunities to meet, fill out registration, ask questions, and pay fees. There will be another opportunity in Hillsboro during the month of May TBD. Hope to see you at one of the drop in meetings.

Spring Plowing Event at the Yamhill Valley Heritage Center

Annual Farm Fest and Plowing Competition at the Yamhill Valley Heritage Center

Opportunity to meet, reconnect with, or cheer on 4H wagon train teamsters. If you’ve never experienced this great opportunity to get a glimpse into past farming practices now’s the time. The museum itself has a great display of equine drawn vehicles, food and crafts are available, much to explore and learn. The Yamhill Valley Heritage Center is located in Mcminnville Oregon, 11275 S.W. Durham Lane.

Wagon Train Work/Volunteer Party

We will be gathering in Gaston Oregon, (current storage site for the Wagon Train equipment), to complete the up-fit of the new cookshack, clean and organize equipment, make some minor repairs, and reconnect with friends from Wagon Train. There will be e-mail notification as the event draws nearer.
